Using Repost Blogging to Increase Site Traffic

by admin on October 21, 2008

I started this blog to capture tips for promoting your Web site. I have been designing a Web based tool – code named “PageRush” – that would use focused “Repost Blogging” (as named in the presentation below) to help sites get web traffic by growing their SEO rank for specific keyword phrases. Of course, I’m going to perfect the techniques for PageRush using this blog. Which is why this first post is a “Re-post” :) .

Repost blogging is defined as “Taking a post or article from another location and reposting a significant part of it as a blog post with limited original commentary”. With PageRush, I would implement a minimum comment length (saying that makes me feel like a presedential candidate). Also, I would make sure the reposted content maintains an attribution link. Lastly, I would argue that much of the content worth reposting may be short form content (tweets, etc.) anyway – so the length of the comment often will not matter.

Most bloggers use a combination of these styles. What style of blogger are you?
