Checking to see if a blog is dofollow requires inspecting the HTML of the blog to check the links to commenters (see how to verify a dofollow blog). Furthermore, the list of dofollow blogs is always changing as blogs turn dofollow on and off. Since each blog’s HTML template can be different, the only reliable way to verify dofollow is to have a human check it. At PageRush, we have multiple humans check each link that is submitted. We strive to re-check each dofollow blog on a monthly basis to confirm that it is still dofollow.

This is good information, thank you. If you use Firefox then try to download seo pluggins from the internet. It is free. Then enable it in your Firefox browser. If any link shows as red, that means it is nofollow. I hope this will help. Thanks!

Yes, I check every blog, and post my comments only to do follow blogs.
I use Firefox, and it works for me. I am checking it manually

Why are you doing this check manually? Google, and every other search engine do it automatically, and so should you! I’m sure some well written regex would help.

Kyle, the trick is to identify whether links to commenters are dofollow or not. That means you’d need a regex for every blog platform and template variation. Google can just look at all the hyperlinks and see if they have nofollow. We have to handle links that appear different places and link to different sites all the time.

Using the firefox plug in is by far the easiest. You can quickly learn what the site owner deems to be important. On this site the link to the home page is nofollow, but the link to the search engine is dofollow.
